Tips for storing hand smocked clothing (Part 1)

It is time for mother to store summer and fall clothing or smocked clothing for children completely. It seems simple but mother also should keep some basic things in mind. Today, I will share with you some tips about storing clothes. Let’s read!


  • Wash and dry before storing


Washing out any stain and sweat is a necessary step. You should make sure that children smocked clothing is clean and there is not any stink or stain. Surface stains and dirt will set into the clothing overtime and when your child uses it again, the stain will become difficult to remove. Moreover, dirty clothing can also attract vermin and insects which may also damage your clothing


However, you also should wash clothing items following each label instruction and rinse them carefully prior to drying and storing. Make sure that all detergents, bleaches or chemicals are washed out. It will be safe during storing and clean enough for children to wear for next time.

After washing, dry in the air is a good way to remove completely moistures on baby smocked clothing. Moisture is one of perfect condition for the growth of mould and mildew. Your children clothes will be worn out or dirty.


  • Fold clothes


After cleaning garments, folding is next important step of storing process. When folding, you will find that your closet will be neat. No one wants to see a mess, doesn’t it? At the same time, you also can classify smocked dresses in one column and smocked shortalls in another column, for instance. When you come in summer-fall season in next year, you will find what you need easily. In addition, your storage will contain more clothes.
